Key Responsibilities:

As an Automation & Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality
automation solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

Customer Support And Service:

  • Troubleshooting automation systems, including fault-finding and diagnostics.

  • Liaise with customers on support services ensuring their needs are met and exceeded, including attending sites when required.

  • Participating in an on-call rota (initially one week in four) to provide remote troubleshooting and onsite support when necessary.

Project Management and Development:

  • Conducting site surveys to assess potential project requirements.

  • Assisting with project quotes.

  • Aid the team with designing electrical systems, including schematics and technical drawings.

  • Support with the installation, commissioning, startup, shutdown, and ongoing maintenance of systems with other team members.

  • Researching and sourcing components for system assembly.

Mentoring and Development:

  • Assisting in the management and mentoring of apprentices, contributing to their growth and development within the company.

  • Contributing to the ongoing development of engineering policies, standards, and procedures to ensure ECS remains at the forefront of the automation industry.

  • Be adaptable, taking on additional tasks as needed to support operational success

Qualifications and Experience:

We are seeking candidates with the following:

  • Educational Background: HNC/D or higher in Electronic and Electrical Engineering or a related subject.

  • Professional Training: - Apprenticeship trained as an Instrument Technician or Automation and Controls Engineer.                          - 18th Edition certification

  • Work Experience: A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in automation, controls or related fields.

    earning potential through on-call rates and overtime. The night rota (one week in
